Who we are….

Filed under: General Info — by 2ChixInTheMix @ 6:53 pm

We are Deah and Myrene – two moms with husbands, grown children, full time careers and busy lives.  We met at church when our children were young and over the years talked about learning to decorate cakes.  Well, now that the kids are grown, we have had the opportunity to begin our adventure in sugar.

It all began with a series of three classes at a local craft store.  With the help of a wonderful teacher, eager to share her knowledge beyond the class criteria, we have developed our talents beyond the standard issue cakes.  While keeping in mind that cake decorating is art, not perfection, we are not afraid to try anything.  With each attempt, successful or not so successful, something is learned for the next project.  Constant development of new cake flavors and butter cream icing recipes keep us busy in the kitchen.  Family and friends are gifted with many of our projects and opinions are solicited regarding taste.  So far, none have been rejected.

August brings a new class on gumpaste flowers.  You are sure to see some of our bouquets right here.
